So many good things we can expect from ping g30 wood
The ping g30 5 wood is constructed from a uniform Carpenter 475 face, which maximises face deflection and, by extension, ball speeds and distance. Faster ball speeds and greater distance come from a larger face made of a uniform-thickness Carpenter 475 steel, creating a thin but strong hitting surface that maximizes face deflection. They didn’t do as much to increase my club speed as they do on the driver. It felt really stable, like the strike point didn’t matter. This allows the face to be thin and uniform while being lighter. The lighter face enables engineers to position the Center of Gravity (CG) low and deep for higher launch and increased MOI.
All the G30 fairway woods feature a new 5-position adjustable hosel system that allows golfers to increase or decrease loft by up to 1 degree. The face is also taller for additional face bending and forgiveness. Crown turbulators help with aim and confidence. As we mentioned in the ping g30 driver 10.5 stiff, this hosel is designed to be the same size and weight as a normal hosel so that the performance of the G range of fairways is maintained. It’s forgiving, but you can work the ball if you want to. It’s also solid regardless of the situation – fairway, rough, or tee. Just as with the past few G-series fairway woods, the G30 is incredibly easy to launch, even for players who are not skilled with fairway woods. Instead they serve primarily as an alignment aid. PING has acknowledged that testing ping g25 5 wood of the Turbulators on the fairways does not show the same ball or clubhead jumps it did in the driver because of how small the clubhead is. The adjustable weight on the bottom of the club allows fitters to tinker with the club's swing weight; it is not removable by consumers. One can’t help but think other companies may not have done the same. The charcoal, non-glare matte finish eliminates reflections to improve focus.
This is one of the very few clubs that I would recommend to players of all ability levels because it has great performance but also plenty of forgiveness.
